GWI Canvas is currently available to Free, Plus, Teams, and Pro users, with even more powerful features coming soon.
How to generate your Canvas report
Choose your goal
Select from one of the following: Media Planning, Audience Profiling, or Social Media.
Select your audience
Create a new audience by typing who you’d like to explore and letting AI generate it for you. You can select up to three audiences.
Make your audience(s) location-specific by including a country or region in your prompt. Your report will compare your audience to the average person in that location.
Tip: When writing your prompt, clearly describe who you want to analyze and the locations you’re interested in. For example: “Gen Z luxury shoppers in the US”
Alternatively, use a predefined audience instead of an AI-generated one, and search for the audience by name. You can choose from:
Audiences created by GWI
Audiences shared by colleagues with a Pro account
Generate your report
Once you’ve selected your audience(s), review the summary to confirm the details, then click 'Build my report'.
Canvas will generate a presentation-ready report summarizing findings across your selected locations. You can then edit, refine, and use the report for client or internal presentations.
How to customize your report
Click 'Colors' from the top-right menu once your report has loaded. From there, you can adjust the colors for audiences, backgrounds, and text. Use the built-in color picker to switch between RGB, HSL, or HEX input formats.
Choose your preferred palette and input format to match your style or branding.
Color customization in reports is only available to Pro, Teams, and Plus users.
How to explore the data behind a chart
To explore a chart’s underlying question, click the three small dots in the top-right corner of any chart slide and select 'View full chart'. This opens the question with your selected audience(s) and waves applied automatically. Learn more about our Charts feature here.
Note: Free users can view their Canvas report during the current session only. Once you leave the page, the report cannot be reopened.
How to export and save your report
Reports are automatically saved and available anytime via the management page.
To export the full report, click 'Export PDF' in the top-right corner.
To export an individual Canvas slide:
Hover over any slide with a chart.
Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
Select 'Export' to download it as a PNG or PPTX file.
Saving reports and exporting individual slides are available to Pro, Plus, and Teams users. Free users can view their report during the current session only and export the full report with a watermark.
