Updated over 3 weeks ago

Can I change the base of my crosstab?

Yes. Click Add new base, select attributes or an audience, and apply as SPLIT, AND, or OR.

Note: The totals row/column cell always shows the GWI Core universe. You can rebase by adding the “Audience size” attribute of the given data set. All calculations are based on the universe size from the data set you’ve added attributes from.

How do I save a row or column as an audience?

You can save any row or column as a new audience. Select the row/column and click Save as a new audience.

How can I combine 2 pre-built audiences together?

You can do this by merging two rows/columns together, this means if you add two pre-build audiences to your crosstab, you can choose if you want to merge them with an AND or OR operator.

What does merging rows or columns do?

It combines selected attributes using AND or OR logic to create a new row or column. To merge, select attributes from multiple rows/columns. Choose AND or OR logic, then create a new row or column or merge columns or rows.

How do I export my crosstab?

Click Export to download an Excel file showing full data, including heatmaps.

Can I only export the rows and columns I want to?

Yes, you can export exactly what you need. Just select your rows and columns and click export selected cells.

Can I share my crosstab with others?

Yes. You can share your crosstab via the Share feature to send to specific users or everyone in your org. Recipients must have access to the same data. You can’t bulk share multiple crosstabs or folders.

How to add averages to my crosstab?

You can select an average attribute for most of our numerical questions like Age, Income, or time spent on media.

If you would like to know more about how averages are calculated, check out this help center article.

How can I trend data over time?

You can add multiple survey waves to your crosstab. You can either combine four waves to compare data year on year or you can add each wave separately to account for seasonal trends.

Check out this help center article, which helps you interpret wave-on-wave changes.

How do I view audience overlap?

Place the same audience in both a row and column. Use % Row or % Column to see overlap. Add a base for clearer context.

Can I filter my crosstab by minimum sample size?

Yes, you can apply a threshold to your cells, rows or columns to grey out any cells which show a lower sample size than you set. You can do this by selecting View options -> Minimum sample size.

Can I search my crosstab to find attributes?

Yes, you can search your crosstabs by using the Search bar. It comes with likeness search, so you can find things even if you don't remember the exact name of your row or column.

How do I know the question wording and other details about an attribute in my crosstab?

You can click on your attribute and hover over your option to view the question wording and over the i (next to your attribute) to view the metadata notes which contain details about when a question was introduced, which data set it was asked in, who it represents and who it was asked to.
