Russia data discontinuation

As of Q1 2026, we no longer collect data in Russia.

What this means for your analysis

Russia is no longer included in new analyses created after the release of Q1 2026 (May 19th 2026) by default.

  • In the locations filter, Russia is marked as available “Up to Q4 2025”

  • For any new analysis, Russia will be switched off automatically in the location filter

  • If you manually include Russia, you’ll see a warning message recommending you remove it to avoid inconsistencies

You may also see warnings in the following scenarios:

  • Audiences: if your audience includes Russia

  • Charts and crosstabs: when using global or “select markets” data points that include Russia

  • These warnings indicate that the question was not asked in Russia from Q1 2026 onwards

When to remove Russia from your analysis

Whether you remove Russia depends on your use case.

You should remove Russia if you are:

  • Running trend analysis
Comparing data before and after Q1 2026 can create inconsistencies. Removing Russia keeps trends accurate.

  • Analyzing multiple markets or global brands over time
If past waves include Russia but recent ones don’t, excluding Russia ensures like-for-like comparisons.

You don’t need to remove Russia if you are:

  • Analyzing data before Q1 2026 only
Russia data remains fully available and trendable for all historical waves.

Key takeaway

To maintain consistency and accuracy, align your market selection across time periods. If your analysis includes data from Q1 2026 onwards, we recommend excluding Russia.
