How to access Agent Spark

Agent Spark is your human insights agent which acts as your always-on agent - sharp, smart, and intuitive. It has complete access to our global GWI Core data set, which means you can analyze a wide variety of topics across over 50+ markets.

You can access Agent Spark either through our GWI Platform or your favourite LLM tool.

GWI Platform

Agent Spark is free to use for everyone on our GWI Platform, with free users getting access to 5 prompts a month. You can sign up as a free user here. For unlimited access, visit our pricing plan page for more information on your options.

When logged in to our platform, you can access Agent Spark by selecting ‘Agent Spark’ from the sidebar menu on the left-hand side of your screen.

If you’re a Pro or Teams user and subscribing to GWI USA, you can access both data sets via Agent Spark on our GWI Platform. See here for more info on how to switch between data sets.


LLM Connectors for Agent Spark

You can also access Agent Spark via your favourite LLM tool. We offer ready-to-use connectors powered by Agent Spark MCP for the below tools.

ChatGPT Connector for Agent Spark

Enabling the connector

There are two types of users for this integration:

  • Workspace Admins: You can add the Agent Spark connector to your organization and publish it to your workspace.

  • Workspace Members: You can connect to the Agent Spark connector using your GWI account.

Below are the steps for both Workspace Admins and Workspace Members to enable the connector in your workspace.

Workspace Admin

  1. Create a new custom connector by navigating to Workspace Settings -> Apps & Connectors -> Create

You might be prompted to enable Developer Mode. This step is required to create and publish custom connectors.

Once you have created the connector, you can publish it within your organization’s workspace and then deactivate Developer Mode.

  1. Input the following information:

    1. Name: Agent Spark

    2. URL: https://api.globalwebindex.com/v1/spark-api/openai/mcp

  2. Configure the authentication mechanism (OAuth 2.0) and click Create

  3. The connector will appear as a draft in Workspace Settings -> Apps & Connectors -> Drafts

  4. Test the connector in developer mode to ensure it works properly

  5. Once testing is complete, click Publish to make it available to all workspace members

Workspace Member

Web Version

  1. Open a new chat in ChatGPT web

  2. Click the ”+” button in the chat window

  3. Locate the Agent Spark custom connector in the list and click Connect

Desktop Version

  1. Go to Settings -> Apps & Connectors

  2. Locate the Agent Spark custom connector in the list and click Connect

You’ll be returned to ChatGPT and the Agent Spark connector will now be available in your chat sessions. The connector will appear with a “custom” label next to its name.

Once connected, ChatGPT will use Agent Spark whenever your insight indicates the use of GWI’s data.

Authentication Process (Both Web & Desktop)

  1. You’ll be redirected to the GWI sign-in page. Use your GWI credentials to sign in. If you don’t have a GWI login, click Sign up to create one

  2. Review the requested permissions and scopes, then click Allow to authorize the connection

Claude Connector for Agent Spark

Enabling the connector

There are two types of users for this integration:

  • Workspace Admins: You can add the Agent Spark connector to your organization and publish it to your workspace.

  • Workspace Members: You can connect to the Agent Spark connector using your GWI account.

Below are the steps for both Workspace Admins and Workspace Members to enable the connector in your workspace.

Workspace Admin

First, your Claude workspace admin needs to make the connector available for your workspace by completing the following steps:

  • Go to Admin Settings -> Connectors -> Add custom connector

  • Input the following information:

    • Name: Agent Spark

    • URL: https://api.globalwebindex.com/v1/spark-api/mcp

Workspace Member

Once enabled, you should be able to see the Agent Spark custom connector listed. Then, to activate it for your individual account, follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings -> Connectors

  • Locate the “Agent Spark” custom connector in the list and click Connect

  • You’ll be redirected to the GWI sign-in page. Use your GWI credentials to sign in.

  • After successful sign-in, you need to allow access to Claude

  • Finally, you should be able to see the “Agent Spark” custom connector in the list when you are on the chat interface.

To enable the Claude connector for Agent Spark:

Step 1: Ask your Claude workspace admin to make the connector available for your workspace. They will need to complete the steps below.

  • Go to Admin Settings -> Connectors -> Add custom connector

  • Input the following information:

    • Name: “Agent Spark”

    • URL: https://api.globalwebindex.com/v1/spark-api/mcp

Step 2: Once enabled, you should be able to see the Agent Spark custom connector listed. Then activate it for your individual account:

  • Go to Settings -> Connectors

  • Locate the “Agent Spark” custom connector in the list and click Connect

  • You’ll be redirected to the GWI sign-in page. Use your GWI credentials to sign in.

  • After successful sign-in, you need to allow access to Claude

Step 3: Finally, you should be able to see the Agent Spark custom connector in the list when you are on the chat interface.

Copilot Studio Connector for Agent Spark

Enabling the connector

The GWI MCP server integrates with Microsoft Copilot Studio using the MCP onboarding wizard. This enables agents to access GWI consumer insights data through OAuth 2.0 authentication (i.e., your GWI account Email/PW credentials).

  1. Open your agent, navigate to the Tools page, and select “New tool”

  2. Select “Model Context Protocol”

  3. Configure the MCP server details, ensuring the URL is correct:

    1. Server Name: Agent Spark

    2. Server Description: Uncover instant insights from real humans across 50+ global markets

    3. Server URL: https://api.globalwebindex.com/v1/spark-api/mcp

  1. Select “OAuth 2.0” as the authentication type and “Dynamic discovery” as the OAuth 2.0 type

  2. Create a connection. You will be redirected to the GWI sign-in page. Use your GWI credentials to sign in.

  3. Review the requested permissions and scopes, then click “Allow” to authorize the connection.

  4. Once the connection is created, you will be prompted to add the MCP tool and configure it in the agent.

  5. You can select between two authentication modes when using MCP tools within your agent: “End user credentials” or “Maker-provided credentials”. This controls whether you use your GWI credentials when using the agent or the credentials used by the tool builder.

  6. You can now use Agent Spark within Copilot

The above mentioned LLM Connectors are powered by GWI Core data only

Note: Please be aware that GWI provides the connectors only, and your use of your LLM to access Agent Spark is your own responsibility. You should check that you have the required rights and permissions to use your LLM with our connector. We require you not to allow your LLM to train on our data. We always recommend that you use paid or enterprise LLM accounts.

If you’re a Free user you can only use Agent Spark in our GWI Platform.

Troubleshooting

  • Connector not visible: Ask your workspace admin to verify that the Agent Spark connector has been created and published.

  • Access denied during sign-in: Confirm with your GWI contact that your email address or domain is enabled for your organization’s Spark MCP access.

  • Login Errors: Check in with your GWI contact to confirm that your GWI account has been set up correctly.

  • OAuth errors: Clear your browser cache or try connecting from an incognito/private browsing window.
